The Nessim group at BIU focuses on the synthesis of 1D and 2D nanostructures using state-of-the-art chemical vapor deposition (CVD) equipment. The scientific focus is to better understand the complex growth mechanisms of these nano-structures fabricated through CVD, to possibly functionalize them to tune their properties and to integrate them into innovative devices. Currently, the Nessim lab is involved in extensive collaborative efforts including INREP (Israel National Research Center for Electrochemical Propulsion and the EU sponsored AdMaiora Project (ADvanced nanocomposite MAterIals fOr in situ treatment and ultRAsound-mediated management of osteoarthritis).
