The Enrique Grunbaum Award for Young Plasma Scientists

The Enrique Grunbaum Award for Young Plasma Scientists

As a memorial to Enrique Grunbaum and his devotion to the IPSTA community and in particular to its young members, the IPSTA board established the Enrique Grunbaum Award.

The objectives of the Enrique Grunbaum Award are to acknowledge and to encourage a young plasma scientist at the beginning of his or her career (i.e., in a post‐doc or untenured position) who has both scientific achievements in plasma science or technology and a record of a voluntary contribution to the IPSTA community.

Candidates can be nominated by IPSTA members holding a tenured position in an academic or research institution. Nominations should include a short description of the nominee's scientific or technological accomplishments and a description of their voluntary service to the IPSTA community.

All nominations must be received by January 26, 2023

To be eligible, nominees must hold a Ph.D. degree and not yet hold a tenured position. The laureate of the Enrique Grunbaum Award will be announced during the joint IVS-IPSTA 2023 meeting on March 2nd, Bar Ilan University.
